The Demon Deacon basketball team spends the majority of their practice time in the Miller Center, which houses the Dave Budd Practice Gym as well as a locker room for the team.

The practice gym has a full-length court and six stand alone baskets. The locker room includes a player lounge that features flat screen TVs and the latest video software, as well as dedicated equipment and a training room.

Opened in the fall of 2001, the Miller Center also houses office, training and meeting spaces for the University's athletic programs. Part of the facility's appeal is the fact that many Deacon athletic teams can use it for academics, workouts or meetings.

The Miller Center is home to Student-Athlete Services, which features a full-time staff of 10 academic counselors. The facility includes private study carrels, work areas for individual and small-group tutorial sessions and a large conference room.

A new sports medicine facility opened in 2018 on the first floor of the Miller Center.

The Miller Center features classroom space and meeting rooms. The state-of-the-art facility has a patio area from which students and faculty can take in a field hockey game, giving Kentner Stadium a more stadium-type feel.

A dual athletic and academic facility, the Miller Center enables Wake Forest student-athletes to put forth their best effort on the court and in the classroom.
