The 24,000-square-foot Shah Basketball Complex is one of the leading basketball practice and training facilities in America. Designed as a world-class NBA training facility, the Shah Basketball Complex features:

  • Practice gyms with 13 ceiling and wall-mounted goals for player development incorporating artificial intelligence and innovative sports science technology, STATS SportVu. This camera-based optical sports system tracks the real-time positions of players and the ball at 25 times per second. This live streaming video, data and analytics provides a wealth of innovative statistics and data on speed, distance, player separation, ball possession and much more for our student-athletes and coaches.
  • Noah Shooting System, which measures shots from anywhere on the court and gives instant feedback for shot arc and depth, allowing players to correct their shot in real-time.
  • 8,000 square feet of dedicated basketball-specific strength and conditioning space for men’s and women’s teams with Sorinex Olympic platforms, free weights, and Hammer Strength machines.
  • Expanded hydrotherapy with an underwater treadmill, hot and cold plunge pools, RPX Zero gravity lounge chairs and a Cryochamber recovery system.
  • 18,000 square feet of coaches’ offices, locker rooms and technologically enhanced theater-style team meeting and video review rooms.
  • Dedicated nutrition zone with an on-staff sports dietitian, a teaching kitchen and dining area for team meals. Help with fueling a proper diet for Wake Forest student-athletes around the clock, with foods marked for either pre-workout or recovery. Along with meeting nutritional needs, athletes from all sports socialize, study and relax in the Nutrition Center. Special features include a smoothie bar, a gluten-free area and soft seating.
