Hailing from Jericho, N.Y., Cory Parr competed for the men's tennis team at Wake Forest from 2005-09, putting together a significant career full of accomplishments.
Parr was known for being a standout threat in both solo and duo play during his time with the Demon Deacons. Alongside doubles partner Steven Forman, the pair climbed up to No. 1 in the country and claimed Wake Forest's first-ever national title, winning the 2008 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) National Indoor Doubles Championship. A season later, the two recorded 30 season wins – a mark that sits second-best all-time. Parr's 108 career doubles wins remains the second-most by a player throughout program history.
In singles action, Parr stands third all-time in career solo victories (114). He ranked as high as No. 7 in the country during his four-year career. Parr's collegiate resume also includes:

Following his college graduation in 2009, Parr competed on the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) Tour, collecting 15 professional doubles titles. While playing on the tour, Parr ranked as high as 779 in singles and 272 in doubles. He made his ATP main draw debut at the 2011 Winston-Salem Open in the doubles draw, partnering with Treat Huey.
Parr returned to his Demon Deacon roots in 2017, joining the men's tennis program as a volunteer assistant coach. In 2020, he officially completed his Masters in Business Administration.
