Wake Women's Squad Signs Two Recruits

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Wake Forest women's basketball coach Charlene Curtis announced the signing of two players to national letters of intent during the November early signing period. Both players will enroll as freshman at Wake Forest in the fall of 2000.

BIANCA BROWN (5-8, Guard, Montclair, NJ/Montclair HS) A three-year letterwinner at Montclair High School, Brown averaged 18 points, 7 rebounds, and 7.3 steals per game in her junior season, shooting 52 percent from the floor, 39 percent from three-point range, and 77 percent from the free throw line. She has tallied 881 points in her first three years of high school play, earning first-team all-conference honors in both her sophomore and junior seasons. Brown also carries a perfect 4.0 grade point average.

EAFTON HILL (6-1, Forward, Boone, NC/Watuga HS) A three-year letterwinner at Watuga High School, Hill averaged 20.3 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 steals per game in her junior season. As a sophomore in 1997-98, Hill averaged 15 points and 11 rebounds per outing and recorded 109 blocked shots to earn team MVP honors. She was a Northwestern 4A All-Conference pick in 1996-97 and was named to the Northwestern 4A Conference All-Tournament Team in 1998.
