
Wake Works Extra-Long For Win Over Ohio

HONOLULU (AP) - Robert O'Kelley, held to one point in the first half, scored seven of his 17 points in the second overtime as No. 19 Wake Forest beat Ohio 84-78 on Wednesday in the consolation round of the Rainbow Classic.
Wake Forest (9-2), which opened the tournament with a 67-66 loss to Oregon, took an 80-78 on Chris Dawson's basket with 1:12 remaining in the second overtime. O'Kelley then hit a field goal and added two free throws.
Josh Howard also had 17 points for the Demon Deacons, Darius Songaila added 12 before fouling out, and Dawson finished with 11.
Shaun Stonerook led the Bobcats (7-5) with 24 points and 17 rebounds. He fouled out with three minutes left in the second overtime.
The Demon Deacons had a pair of nine-point leads in the first half, but Anthony Jones scored six points and Stonerook had four as the Bobcats narrowed the gap to one at 30-29 at halftime.
Steve Esterkamp scored eight points and Shaun McVicker had four during a 16-4 run that gave Ohio a 56-54 lead in the second half.
