LAS VEGAS, NV--Seniors Ray Floyd, Jr. and Ryan Gioffre along with junior Michael Capone opened the Golf Digest Collegiate with rounds of 72 to lead the Wake Forest mens golf team to a score of 291. The Deacons are in 10th place, 13 strokes back of first round leader Clemson.

All three players are tied for 16th place, seven strokes back of Clemsons Jonathan Byrd. Byrd fired a 65 and holds a two stroke advantage over New Mexicos Doug La Belle and Arizona States Darren Angel heading into the second round.
