Dardy, Robinson Earn Postseason Honors

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C - Sophomore forward Olivia Dardy (Norwalk, CT/Brien McMahon) and freshman center LaChina Robinson (Alexandria, VA/T.C. Williams) have been named to the All-Atlantic Coast Conference Women's Basketball Teams, it was announced today by the Atlantic Coast Sports Writers Association. Dardy earned Honorable Mention All-ACC honors, while Robinson was selected to the ACC All-Freshman Team.
Dardy currently leads the Demon Deacons in scoring (9.5 ppg), rebounding (7.1 rpg), and steals (1.2), ranking as the seventh-leading rebounder in the ACC. A versatile player who can play the three, four, or five position, Dardy has collected five double-doubles on the year and also holds an impressive 30.0 three-point shooting percentage (24-80). Earlier this season, she earned ACC Co-Player of the Week honors following a 17-point, 15-rebound performance vs. Maryland, and she was named to the Fairfield-Warner's Classic All-Tournament Team after racking up 31 points and 21 rebounds in two games. Dardy is Wake's first All-ACC honoree since Tracy Connor in 1996.
Robinson has enjoyed an outstanding freshman campaign, starting every game at center and matching up against some of the top players in the nation. She currently leads the team and ranks eighth in the ACC in blocked shots (0.8 bpg) and is the team's sixth-leading scorer (5.7 ppg) and third-leading rebounder (4.2 rpg). Robinson has netted four double-figure scoring outings on the year, including a 22-point, eight-rebound performance vs. Georgia Tech which earned her ACC Rookie of the Week honors. Robinson is the sixth Demon Deacon ever to earn All-Freshman honors, with the last honoree being current junior Alisha Mosley (1996).
