Men's Soccer Inks Three Recruits

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.-Wake Forest men's soccer coach Jay Vidovich has announced the signing of three men's soccer players for the 1998-99 school year. Two of the players will enroll as freshmen in the fall of 1998, while one transfer student will enter Wake Forest with sophomore eligibility standing. The Wake Forest men's soccer 1998 recruiting class:
Christian Lonteen (Forward/Midfielder, Rolling Meadows, IL/William Fremd H.S.)
Lonteen was a first-team all-conference and all-state selection as a senior in 1997, earning conference player of the year honors. He was also selected as an adidas Elite Soccer Program (ESP) player and was a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Regional All-American. Lonteen competed on the Chicago Fire club soccer team.
Jamal Seale (Midfielder, Overland Park, KS/Blue Valley Northwest H.S.)
Seale was the 1997 Kansas Gatorade Player of the Year and a member of the U.S. Under-17 National Team. He earned first-team all-state honors as a junior and senior in high school , and was also an adidas ESP player. A member of the Region II Olympic Development Program (ODP), Seale competed with the Kansas City Stars club soccer team.
Greg Krauss (Forward, Clearwater, FL/Clearwater H.S./Ohio University)
Krauss transfers to Wake Forest from Ohio University and will be immediately eligible to play with sophomore eligibility status. Krauss was a member of the 1998 U.S. Olympic Team pool and earned all-state honors his junior and senior years in high school. Also an all-state placekicker for the football team in high school, Krauss attended Ohio University for two years and was a reserve placekicker last fall after redshirting the 1996 season. While he did not play varsity soccer at Ohio U. , Krauss competed on the Clearwater Chargers under-19 club team, leading his squad to the 1997 McGuire Cup title and earning championship MVP honors.
