WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Two members of the Wake Forest men's soccer team were selected to the College Soccer Weekly On-Line All-America Teams, it was announced today.

Junior Chad Evans (LaPlata, MD), the anchor of the Deacon defense, earned CSW Honorable Mention All-America accolades after an outstanding season in the backfield. Evans started all 19 games of the year, establishing himself as one of the nation's top marking backs with his stifling coverage of opponents' top strikers. He contributed two goals and five assists on the year, earning first-team All-ACC and All-Region honors.

Senior midfielder Serge Daniv (Lviv, Ukraine) also earned honorable mention All-America honors from CSW after an impressive comeback season. Daniv, a 1996 All-American who missed the '97 season due to a serious knee injury, returned as one of the Deacons' most explosive players in 1998. He started 10 games, tallying five goals and two assists, and was named first-team All-ACC and second-team All-Region.

Wake Forest finished the 1998 campaign at 11-7-1 overall and 1-4-1 in the ACC.
