Two Deacs Named to ACC All-Academic Football Team

WINSTON-SALEM -- Wake Forest offensive guard Brian Wolverton and defensive back DaLawn Parrish have been named to the 1998 ACC All-Academic Football team.

To be eligible for the team, a player must have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average or earn a 3.0 GPA during the fall semester.

Wolverton, a graduate of North Forsyth High School in Winston-Salem, earned a 3.25 grade point average this fall as a communication major while starting all 11 Demon Deacon games.

Parrish led the 1998 squad in tackles with 75 and had a 3.11 scholastic average as a history major. He also made the ACC All-Academic team for the 1997 season.
