Wake Forest Voted Sixth in Pre-Season ACC Poll

ATLANTA, Ga.--The Florida State Seminoles have been voted as overwhelming favorites to repeat once again as ACC Football Champions.

The results, as voted by the members of the media at the ACC Football Kickoff Weekend, list the Seminoles as a unanimous choice to finish atop the conference standings with North Carolina and Virginia selected in the second and third spots.

Georgia Tech was voted as the fourth place finisher with Clemson and Wake Forest being fifth and sixth, respectively.

The Deacons open the 1998 campaign September 5th at Air Force. Wake's first ACC contest will be at Clemson on the 19th of September.
