Women's Basketball Schedule Released

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C - The Wake Forest Department of Athletics announced today the schedule for the upcoming 1999-2000 women's basketball season. The Demon Deacons' schedule includes three games televised on the Atlantic Coast Conference's regional sports network, which broadcasts games throughout the six-state ACC region on Home Team Sports, Fox Sports South, and Sunshine Networks.
The Deacs open the 1999-2000 regular season at home, taking on the Lady Stags of Fairfield University at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 19th at Joel Coliseum. The team kicks off the ACC season with a game versus NC State in Raleigh on Dec. 3rd, then doesn't resume conference play until mid-January. The Deacs will enjoy a trip through Louisiana over the holiday break, playing at New Orleans on Dec. 19th and at LSU in Baton Rouge on Dec. 22nd. The regular season concludes on Feb. 27th with a game at Virginia, followed by the 23rd Annual ACC Tournament, to be held in nearby Greensboro, N.C.
