WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Senior Chad Evans (LaPlata, MD) of the Wake Forest men's soccer team was recently named second team pre-season All-America by College Soccer Online.
Evans started all 19 games for the Demon Deacons last season and has received the starting nod in 58 games over his career at Wake Forest. He scored two goals and had five assists in 1998 from his defensive position. For his efforts last fall, Evans was named Honorable Mention All-America by College Soccer Weekly. He also received first team All-ACC and All-Region honors. Evans helped lead Wake Forest to a record of 11-7-1 overall and 1-4-1 in ACC play as a junior.
UCLA had the most representatives on the team with four, while defending national champion Indiana had three.
