Deacons Announce 1999-2000 Basketball Schedule

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Dates with non-conference opponents Wisconsin, Temple, Georgia and Arkansas, a trip to the Rainbow Classic in Honolulu, and 16 televised contests against ACC foes highlight the 1999-2000 Wake Forest men's basketball schedule.
The Demon Deacons will have at least 21 games televised overall, including eight on national networks.
Wake hosts Wisconsin in Lawrence Joel Coliseum on November 30th as part of the inaugural "ACC-Big Ten Challenge", then four days later entertains Temple on December 4th. Both of those games will be shown on ESPN.
The Deacs' Joel Coliseum matchup with North Carolina (Jan.12) will be televised on ESPN, while home dates against Duke (Jan.22) and Georgia Tech (Feb.27) will air on CBS.
Coach Dave Odom's squad will also be active during the holiday period with three games in the Rainbow Classic. Wake Forest meets Oregon in the opening round of that eight-team affair, which also includes Bradley, Colorado, Gonzaga, host Hawaii, Ohio University and Villanova.
