Atlanta -- Charles Godsey passed for 333 yards and four first-half touchdowns as Georgia Tech scored on its first four posessions and beat winless Wake Forest 52-20 on Saturday.

Godsey, who completed 16 of 21 passes, connected with Kelly Campbell five times for 147 yards, including scoring passes of 53 and 35 yards.

Godsey's other scoring passes covered 9 yards to Nate Curry and 72 yards to Kerry Watkins, who broke a tackle after making the catch at the Wake Forest 42.

Tech (4-2, 2-2 ACC) also got a strong running performance from Sidney Ford, who had 111 yards on 14 carries and scored the first touchdown on an 18-yard run.

The Demon Deacons (0-6, 0-4) gained a 7-7 tie five plays after Ford's touchdown when Jamie Scott scored on a 2-yard run. That drive featured a 28-yard pass from Anthony Young to Fabian Davis and a 41-yard run by Tarence Williams.

Tech then scored the next three touchdowns to take control.

Tech's other scoring came on a 1-yard run by Joe Burns and a 38-yard field goal by Luke Manget, both in the third quarter.

The Jackets added another touchdown with only 36 seconds left in the game, a 7-yard run by Andy Hall, three plays after Matt Miller returned an interception 19 yards to the Wake Forest 25.

Young threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to Ira Williams in the second quarter that cut Tech's lead to 28-14.

The Demon Deacons added another score early in the fourth quarter on a 1-yard run by Ovie Mughelli. That touchdown was set up when backup quarterback James MacPherson faked a punt and completed a 38-yard pass to Davis at the Tech 3.
