We woke up and had a normal day. We had meetings from 6:45 to 7:45. We then had a team lift. I thought everyone did well in the lift, everyone pushed themselves. Well, how could you not push yourself when you have the coaches pushing you?
We then had a special teams practice, each special team. It's called a technique practice. That went pretty well.
After that I slept like a bear in hibernation.
This afternoon, I thought, was our hardest practice of the summer. I thought it was very, very intense. We also ran, did more conditioning afterwards. It was definitely one of the hotter days of the summer -- it felt like it was 110 degrees. It felt like we were in a sauna.
We sat in the ice tubs afterwards. Those things make your legs feel fresh for about 15 minutes and then you get in the shower and your legs are dead again.
Tonight we more meetings, then we get a snack. After that it's back to bed and up again early in the morning.
We have a scrimmage tomorrow in the afternoon practice. I'm looking forward to that. I get tired of not being able to hit anyone full go, and tomorrow should be full go. Except on the quarterbacks.
The freshman are intertwining well with everyone. In particular I think the defensive line guys are getting along great with the upperclassmen. In fact, they're always asking us for help, to get better.
We're going to get some freshman, though, we're going to have to pull some pranks on people at some point. Pranks are coming.
One person I'd like to mention today is Michael Collins (offensive tackle). He's doing well, he's having a good camp. His footwork has gotten a lot better and he's going to be a force to reckon with this year in the ACC.
