Deacon Golfers To Be Featured On Golf Channel

Winston-Salem, N.C. - The Wake Forest men's and women's golf teams will be featured nationwide on the Golf Channel on Saturday evening at 7:00 pm.
Reporters from the Golf Channel visited the campus last spring in an effort to publicize the successes of Wake Forest golf. The "Junior Academy" segment will include interviews with Deacon golfers, as well as discussions with head coaches Jerry Haas and Dianne Dailey.
The Wake Forest squads will be highlighted, along with teams from Duke and Arizona, during the half-hour national show. The show will be aired again on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 pm and on Tuesday afternoon at 4:00 pm.
The Deacon women's golf squad opens up the 2000 fall season with the Stetson Fall Preview Tournament in Howey-in-the-Hills, FL September 15-17. The men's team begins play at The Ridges/Bank of Tennessee Intercollegiate September 9-10 in Johnson City, TN.
