Recap?|? Box Score?|? Notes

Wake Forest Head Coach Charlene Curtis
"I thought the team came ready to play. The energy and intensity levels were really high, which is what I wanted us to do. In the past, I don't think the energy levels have been where they needed to be, so I was pleased with it today."

"The offense played very well. We did a good job of controlling the ball and limiting our turnovers. Our seniors stepped up and played well. I challenged them in practice to step up, because if we're going to be a successful team, it has to come from the seniors."

"It was a good home win -- we need to get a road win in the ACC somewhere, because we let Virginia come in here and get a road win earlier this season."

Florida State Head Coach Sue Semrau
"Wake Forest played a great game and shot the ball extremely well. Shaffer was 3-of-16 from the three-point line for the season and goes 5-of-5 today. I thought that was a really big part of the game. I thought Olivia Dardy's play was really pivotal for them, too. I didn't feel that we got into much of a defensive or offensive sync. It wasn't the same team that we've been, we need to be good when we go on the road in the ACC. I credit Wake Forest for taking us out of our game. I really felt with our experience that we'd gotten to a point where that wouldn't happen. I'm disappointed today that it did."
