Meredith Bell Named ACC Rookie of the Week

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Wake Forest women's basketball freshman Meredith Bell was named ACC Rookie of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday. It was the first such honor of the season for Wake Forest.

In the Demon Deacons' 74-51 victory at High Point on Sunday, Bell led all scorers with 17 points, four rebounds and a steal. The Waldorf, Md., product connected on her first five three-point attempts and finished the game 6 for 10 from the floor (5 for 8 from three-point land) all in 16 minutes of action.

Bell is currently the team's fourth-leading scorer (7.4 ppg) and she owns a team-high 14 three-pointers this year.
