Women's Soccer Receives Highest Ranking

After continuing its perfect record this past weekend, the Wake Forest women??s soccer team climbed to the sixth spot in the SoccerBuzz weekly poll. The ranking is the highest held by the Demon Deacons in the program??s nine-year history.

Wake Forest remained undefeated this past week, defeating UNC Greensboro, 4-2, on Sept. 25 and tying with NC State 1-1 in Raleigh on Sept. 29. The tie moved the Demon Deacons to 9-0-1 on the season and 1-0-1 in conference play.

The Deacs also appear in several other polls this week, moving to ninth in the NSCAA poll, ninth in Soccer Times and 13th in Soccer America.

The Demon Deacons continue action on Oct. 4, traveling to California to face fourth-ranked UC-Berkeley
