Field Hockey to Take On California in NCAA First Round

Wake Forest has been selected as a host institution for the first and second rounds of the NCAA Division I Field Hockey Championship for the fourth consecutive year, as announced by the NCAA Field Hockey Committee on Tuesday night. The Demon Deacons will play host to the California Golden Bears on Saturday, November 16 at 11 a.m. In the other first round game, to be played at 2 p.m., the James Madison Dukes will take on the Duke Blue Devils. The winners of each game will meet on Sunday, November 17 at 2 p.m. Tickets are five dollars for adults and three dollars for children and students showing their ID. The Demon Deacons (16-2) have compiled a 5-3 all-time record in the NCAA Championship and have made it to the semifinals each of the past two seasons.
