WFU's 70-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter... ... Tied for the eighth-longest pass completion in Wake Forest history ... Was the sixth-longest touchdown pass in Deacon history ... Warren Braxton recorded his first two career interceptions, both coming in the second quarter. Braxton becomes the sixth different Deacon to record a pick this season. As a team, the Deacons have recorded 13 INTs this season. Wake had 13 interceptions all of last season.
Jason Anderson went over 100 yards receiving for the second time in his two-year career. His receiving yards today were the most by a Deacon receiver since Anderson accumulated 150 yards at Virginia last season.
Matt Wisnosky kicked his 14th, 15th and 16th field goals of the season. He is now 16-of-24 on the year after beginning the season just 2-of-6. Wisnosky took over the team lead in scoring, passing Ovie Mughelli (66 points). Wisnosky entered today's game with 62 points. His 73 points are the fifth-most single-season points in Wake Forest history, trailing only Brian Piccolo (111), Larry Russell (94), James McDougald (78) and Matthew Burdick (75).
Jamie Scott, senior outside linebacker, did not play in his final career home game because of an injury.
Miscellaneous Notes ... Navy's late first-quarter touchdown marked the first time that Wake Forest has surrendered points in the first quarter since Oct. 19 at Clemson. ... Over the last five games combined, Wake Forest has outscored foes in the first quarter, 48-17. ... Calvin Pace had a tackle-for-loss in the second quarter, giving him a school-best career 52 tackles for loss. ... Senior receiver Jax Landfried has quietly put together an impressive streak of 18 consecutive games with at least one reception. ... Wake Forest allowed a one-hundred-yard rusher for the fourth game this season. ... Wake scored at least 21 points for the eighth straight game and for the 12th time in the last 13 games
