Moderator: (1:53 PM ET ) Josh Howard is here and ready to get started!
chris vansant, frederick, md: who's the hardest guy you've ever had to guard? and who's your best friend on the team?
Josh Howard: (1:54 PM ET ) Juan Dixon of Maryland. I would say everybody on the team. I am cool with everybody. john, charlotte: how much did it mean to you getting the regular season sweep over carolina?
Josh Howard: (1:55 PM ET ) It meant a lot. It is something Wake Forest hasn't done in over 30 years. For us to come out and do it this year was a big thing for us. VERNON WINSTON-SALEM: IS THERE ANY ONE COACH WHO MAY HAVE HAD THE BIGGEST PART IN HELPING TO INFLUENCE YOUR SUCCESS THUS FAR?
Josh Howard: (1:56 PM ET ) My high school coach at my first high school. Coach Muse at Parkland HS. He doesn't coach anymore. Cathy (Morehead City): I just wanted to let you know how proud I am of you and your teammates this season. I am a HUGE WFU fan among a bunch of Tar Heel fans...yes, they still exist. Your game has expanded so much this season. What did you credit your success to? Thanks again!!
Josh Howard: (1:57 PM ET ) I got better at my work ethic. Staying after practice and coming early to work on my shooting. I worked on the little things that I needed to do. Jim Nanners (Queens, NY): How is your ankle? Will you be able to play tomorrow against the BearCats?
Josh Howard: (1:58 PM ET ) As far as I know, I can go as of now. Matt (Virginia): Josh, the coaching transition from Dave Odom to Skip Prosser seems to be going quite well. What are the major differences between the team last year and this year?
Josh Howard: (1:59 PM ET ) We lost some games last year and went down hill. We didn't want that to happen again this year. As a team we are working on keeping each other focused so we won't have the problem again this year. Drew (Durham): Playing in your hometown has got to be a thrill...what do you think of the Joel Coliseum?
Josh Howard: (2:00 PM ET ) It is nice, I am glad I am home to play in front of my family. I didn't know if I would have the chance to do that, but I am glad I picked Wake Forest. Andrew: You are one of the most versatile players Wake has had in years. What area of your game do you hope to improve most during the remainder of this year and next?
Josh Howard: (2:01 PM ET ) Ball handling is the major thing that I need to improve on this year and next. Because if I was to make it to the next level I would be a two guard and I would have to handle the ball more. Randy (Richmond): Do you think that Darius Songaila will have a successful career in the NBA?
Josh Howard: (2:01 PM ET ) Yes, in the NBA or if he goes back home. I think he will do well where ever he ends up. Mike (Winston-Salem): Hey Josh, I noticed you often wear different wristbands during games. Is there any significance to that???
Josh Howard: (2:03 PM ET ) Not really, at away games I wear black ones and white ones at home. Mike (Winston-Salem): What is your favorite moment of your Wake basketball career so far??
Josh Howard: (2:03 PM ET ) Beating Kansas last year and being around my teammates. Denver Deac: Josh, How does the team prepare for a tough out of conference foe like Cincinnati as opposed to an ACC opponent? Does it mean as much?
Josh Howard: (2:04 PM ET ) I think it does. We played them last year and lost in OT. I know my team wants to avenge that loss. We know we have to work hard and win the game hopefully. julius(Winston-Salem): what do u think about downey being put in the starting lineup?
Josh Howard: (2:05 PM ET ) We have three great point guards we can put in the lineup any night. I think it is good that he is getting this experience because next year he is going to play even more.
Matt (Virginia): Jamaal Levy seems like he has the potential to be a great player in the ACC. What is your assessment of his game, and have you seen him grow as a player from when he arrived on campus till now?
Josh Howard: (2:07 PM ET ) He really reminds me of me a lot. I think he is going to take time. He has a lot of potential and by the time he gets to be a senior I think he will be one of the great ones in the ACC. Rob: Do you and Antwan compete to win the espn dunk of the week every week?
Josh Howard: (2:07 PM ET ) No, he gets more dunks than me. I think he is a better dunker than me. Eric (Sarasota, FL): Josh, in your opinion who is the most under-rated player on the team?
Josh Howard: (2:08 PM ET ) A.W. Hamilton was when he was here, but he transferred. John (Kernersville NC): What do you think about next year? A lot of guys leave but a good recruiting class steps in. It also appears Danelius, Taron Downey, and Jamal Levy can hold their own.
Josh Howard: (2:10 PM ET ) I think it is going to be a good year. Our freshmen are getting playing time this year and they are doing well. We have Steve Lepore too and he is another person that is going to be a big help. Rob: What is your favorite place on the Wake Forest campus?
Josh Howard: (2:11 PM ET ) Laying down in my bed and going to sleep. So I would say my room.
Moderator: (2:12 PM ET ) That is all the time Josh has today. We would like to thank Josh for stopping by and wish him good luck against Cincinnati tomorrow.
