Women's Soccer Headed to Nike Invitational Tournament

The Wake Forest Women??s Soccer team travels to Tallahassee, FL this weekend to participate in the Florida State Nike Invitational Tournament. The Deacs will face Pacific-10 Conference members, Oregon and Oregon State.
In their first appearance of the season, the Demon Deacons defeated Coastal Carolina, 5-1 in an exhibition match this past Saturday at Spry Stadium. Both Joline Charlton and Alena Thom chipped in a pair of goals along with one from Katherine Winstead.
Oregon??s Ducks have participated in two preseason matches, tying Texas A&M 1-1 and defeating South Florida 2-1, both held last weekend. The Beavers of Oregon State will see their first action of the season at the tournament against Florida State.
The Deacs will face Oregon at 4:30 on Friday and Oregon State on Sunday at 11:30. Fans will be able to follow the Deacs this weekend on wakeforestsports.com, where live stats will be featured and updated throughout the tournament.
