Women's Soccer Remains in Top-Ten

After continuing its perfect record this past weekend, the Wake Forest women??s soccer team climbed to the seventh spot in the NSCAA/adidas poll. The Demon Deacons held the eighth spot in the poll the previous week. The ranking equals the highest since Wake Forest was ranked seventh in 1999.

The Deacs moved to 8-0 last Friday, defeating Maryland 3-1 in their first conference match of the season.

Wake Forest also appears in the top-10 in several other polls this week, jumping to seventh in Soccer Buzz, ninth in Soccer America and cracking the top-10 at the 10th spot in Soccer Times.

Wake Forest, in its ninth year of women??s soccer, will look to grab its 100th all-time victory on Wednesday when it faces UNCG at 5:00 pm in Spry Stadium.
