Kozey Named ACC Player of the Week

Greensboro, NC - Wake Forest freshman midfielder Sarah Kozey was named Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Week after leading the Demon Deacons to consecutive victories over Oregon and Oregon State.

In her first appearance as a Demon Deacon, Kozey took four shots and contributed one goal in Wake Forest??s shutout performance over Oregon.

During the Deac??s 2-1 win over Oregon State, the freshman tallied five shots and one assist.

Kozey is a native of Halifax, Nova Scotia where she was a member of the Canadian National U-19 team and the 2002 U-19 World Cup squad. Other honors for Kozey include 2001-02 Nova Scotia Female Soccer Athlete of the Year, 2001 Canada Games team member and a four-time Atlantic All-Star selection.
