Winston-Salem, N.C. -- The Wake Forest men's soccer team travels to Clemson, S.C. on Sunday to battle the Clemson Tigers at 2 pm. The Demon Deacons, coming off a 2-1 victory over Long Island on Wednesday, hope to win their fifth consecutive game since dropping a 1-0 contest at then top-ranked Maryland last month.
Wake Forest (8-3, 1-2) has outscored its last four opponents by a 13-2 margin after scoring only nine goals in the first seven games.
Clemson (5-5-2, 2-2) is coming off a 3-2 loss to Virginia that saw the Tigers claw back into the game after falling behind 2-0. However, Virginia tallied the game's final goal with just over three and a half minutes to play sending the visiting Tigers back to Clemson with a loss.
Following Sunday's match, the Deacons will play their next four games at Spry Stadium -- all against North Carolinian foes. The Deacs host the Bulldogs of Gardner-Webb on Wednesday at 7 pm followed by a visit from North Carolina next Saturday. The Deacs will then host Duke and close out the regular season home schedule against the Wildcats of Davidson.
