WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- - Wake Forest's Scott Sealy earned Atlantic Coast Conference Men's Soccer Player of the Week honors after leading the Demon Deacons to victories over Gardner-Webb and third-ranked North Carolina, the conference announced on Monday.
The junior forward from Petit Valley, Trinidad, recorded his first career hat trick, as well as contributing an assist, in a 6-1 win over Gardner-Webb. In the conference match-up with the Tar Heels, a 4-0 victory for the Demon Deacons, Sealy registered his third assist in the last three games.
Sealy continues to ring up points at a torrid pace in the month of October. All eight of his team-leading goals have come this month. In the process, Sealy has become the seventh leading scorer in Wake Forest history with 58 points (23 goals, 12 assists).
Two weeks ago, Sealy was named to the Soccer America and College Soccer News Teams of the Week.
After last week's victories, Wake Forest (11-3, 3-2 ACC) climbed to third in the NSCAA poll. The Demon Deacons will resume action on Friday when they play host to Duke at Spry Stadium.
