The Demon Deacons enter the matchup with the Lady Pirates following their 66-51 victory over Loyola College on Nov. 21 in Baltimore, Md. Wake Forest registered three players in double figures, including Tonia Brown's game high 16 points. The senior guard also grabbed a game high nine rebounds and dished out a game high five assists. Lis Strunk scored all 11 of her points in the second half, while Keila Evans added 10.
Hampton opened its season this past Friday, losing at home to Jacksonville State, 83-72, in overtime. The Lady Pirates were led by Nicole Brathwaite with 19 points and 16 rebounds. Behind her was both Brendy Ellis (13) and Williams (13). Williams also collected a game-high four blocks and 13 rebounds. Also making their way into the double-figure scoring column was Lynetta Sullivan (11) and Sharema Dean (11).
