Men's soccer coach Jay Vidovich and selected players met with the media at Wake Forest's weekly Tuesday press conference. The Deacons (15-4) host Virginia (10-9-2) in an NCAA Tournament second round match-up at Spry Stadium on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. This will be the third meeting between the teams this season, but the first in Winston-Salem.

Head Coach Jay Vidovich

On Wednesday's matchup with Virginia:
"It's going to be a fantastic game. A great ACC as well as NCAA Tournament game. Virginia won the ACC Championship this year. They're one of the teams that beat us this year and it is going to be a great match-up. We're looking forward to it and the guys are ready. We played very well against them the last time we played."

On having the first round bye:
"The plus to having a bye is that you're able to keep yourself at home as well as get a lot of rest time and recover from injuries. But the minus is that we did not have to come back from any injuries. We're healthy and it's been 12 days since we played a game. We'd like that opportunity to compete."

On keeping the team busy:
"The good thing at Wake Forest is they've got plenty of books to keep them busy as well as practices. We've got a strong team in terms of depth, so we've been playing against ourselves. We had an intra-squad scrimmage last Friday night to try and duplicate some situations. We're focused and our guys really want to win."

Senior forward Jeremiah White

On coming back from an early season injury suffered against Virginia early in the season:
"I'm feeling pretty good right now. It took a while to mentally get myself focused to get back and help the team. But I'm definitely ready to go. We're ready to go, we're ready to play. We're looking sharp and we've had a good week of practice."

Senior defender Wiggy Saunders

On getting ready for Wednesday's game:
"Everyone is focusing on this next game and making sure that practices are sharp. Everything is just coming together now."
