Coach Skip Prosser
On preparing for Saturday's game at North Carolina:
Teams like that are hard to prepare for. You have to guard all of their guys. They have five excellent players. Carolina has really good play calling, but it takes really good players to execute them. I think our guys will be emotionally ready to play and so will Carolina
On Wake's three guard lineup of Chris Paul, Justin Gray and Taron Downey:
We don't worry about how big you are. Its how big you play. That's what I tell them all the time. I think its worked really well, but its extremely early. They're talented and selfless. When one of them hasn't played well, usually two of the other ones have. I think that's been helpful and given us good balance.
On opening the ACC season so early:
Its too early, but they didn't ask me. It is only 1/16th of our season though. We were going to have to play at Carolina eventually. Its early for them too though, both clubs are in the same situation.
On scoring against Carolina:
We try to recruit good offensive players but if you don't execute and get guys open, its not going to matter. I think we're going to face a whole new challenge in terms of being able to score baskets on Saturday. Much is made of Carolina's offense, they lead the league in scoring, but they also guard very well.
On the Tar Heels' Sean May:
Sean May is a really good player. He catches everything and scores. He's just a great, great player. He's very talented and has made a big difference for them this year.
