NEW YORK - Wake Forest goalkeeper William Hesmer was named to the inaugural College Sports Television Men's Soccer All-America Team, the network announced on Monday.
CSTV joins the list of national media outlets and soccer organizations that have recognized Hesmer for his outstanding senior season. The native of Wilson, N.C., was a first team NSCAA All-American, first team All-South region and a Missouri Athletic Club Hermann Trophy semifinalist. College Soccer News also recognized Hesmer as an All-American.
Hesmer was a three-time All-ACC selection and holds the Wake Forest career records for shutouts and goals against average.
The CSTV All-America team was selected by the CSTV and CSTV.com editorial staff. CSTV, the first 24-hour college sports network, is available to more than 15 million homes nationally on cable and satellite. The network is available on Adelphia and Insight cable systems, among others, and is also available on DirecTV (channel 610). For information on CSTV availability in particular markets, consumers can log on to www.cstv.com or call their cable or satellite operator.
