College Park, Md.- The Maryland women's basketball (9-14, 3-9 ACC) team lost another heartbreaker at home Thursday, 79-75, to Wake Forest (11-11, 2-10 ACC). Senior Renneika Razor posted 20 points and fellow senior Terri Daniels added another 19 points to led Maryland offensively. Tiffani Listenbee led five Demon Deacon scorers who netted double figures with 16 points.

Wake Forest jumped out to a 6-0 lead in the opening two minutes of the game and eventually built a nine-point lead in the first eight minutes. Bianca Brown and Tracey Allston got the Demon Deacons started with seven points and five points respectively to build the nine-point advantage. Wake Forest's Heather Miller blistered the nets, making four of her next five shots and scoring 11 points to keep the Deacs up 13.

Maryland whittled the lead down to seven by the half, led by 14 first-half points from Daniels and another eight from Razor. Both teams shot well to open the game, with the Terps hitting 53.8 percent of their shots, and Wake nailing 50 percent as well.

Wake Forest stretched its second-half lead to 13 points at the 8:39 mark before Maryland launched a 19-10 run to close it to two with 19 seconds remaining. Razor drained 11 points in the run to lead the charge and kept the crowd of 2,140 on the edge of their seats until the buzzer sounded. It was not to be for the Terps, however, as the crowd watched Wake Forest grab its second conference win of the season.

The Terps utilized their third different starting rotation in three games. Freshman guard Chrissy Fisher posted her sixth-straight double-figure scoring effort, netting 13. Maryland shot only 41.2 percent from the free throw line, but converted a season-high 57.4 of its shots from the floor.
