WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Times have been set for Wake Forest's first two home football games of the 2003 season. The home opener versus NC State on Sept. 6, as well as the following week's contest with Purdue (Sept. 13) will both kickoff at 12 noon at Groves Stadium.
Both games will be televised as well. The NC State game will be shown on ABC (a split national telecast) and the matchup with the Boilermakers will be broadcast nationally on ESPN.
The last time NC State served as WFU's home opener (1999), the Deacs upset the nationally-ranked Wolfpack, 31-7.
Purdue will make its first trip to Winston-Salem this season. Wake Forest defeated the Boilermakers, 24-21, in West Lafayette last year.
Times for other WFU football games, including the 2003 season opener at Boston College, will be announced as they become available.
