Connecticut head coach Ray Reid:
On their performance: "I thought we did a pretty good job the whole game. We couldn't finish but we did play better especially in the first half. We're still making mistakes."
On UNC's forward Marcus Storey: "He's a very good player. He's definitely a handful."
On their upcoming schedule: "It certainly isn't going to get any easier for us."
North Carolina head coach Elmar Bolowich:
On the win: "They played better because we let them play better and I wasn't pleased with that. Our first goal set them back a bit and they lost a little. I'm not sure what it is but in the end, we were ready."
On their young talent (Harrington/Watson): "They haven't had any time to play together so right now, it's all instincts. Right now, we're establishing a link. We need to get more people involved, but we could be very good down the road."
On the team: "We didn't panic in the back. No one on UConn was wide open. We tried to make it very difficult for them. Our defensive midfielders worked very hard."
