Head Coach Jim Grobe
On the overall game:
"It was a long game, the third quarter felt like it lasted forever. I was proud though. It's easy to hang your head after a tough loss, so I was concerned about the mentality going into this game against ECU. Overall I thought they played both positively and negatively on both sides and they were much improved from the Purdue game."
"We have played four tough teams, but we have played with enthusiasm."
On the young guys:
"They played well against NC State but didn't look so good against Purdue. The young guys definitely played better this week, but they have to stop being hot and cold. They need to give us consistency. We are going to keep working with them because we know with them we have a chance."
On D'Angelo Bryant and Chris Barclay:
"D'Angelo Bryant played strong inside to bring up the team. Barclay, on the other hand, we saw more of him today than the Purdue game. He still needs more work but he is continuing to improve along with the team because we know we cannot play one-dimensional."
On the turnovers:
"It's no question they were a factor in the game. We work on turnovers everyday in practice. We teach the boys just to pick it up and run." sporadic today on offense. We were very limited with what we could do. Play in and play out, we were not very consistent."
Wide Receiver Jason Anderson
On his 79-yard touchdown reception
"A streak was called. I got a little lucky as the defender fell down so I kept on running. It was a perfect throw, I just let it fall right into my hands. We had been working on that a lot in practice."
Running Back D'Angelo Bryant
On the game "It was a great feeling being able to play. A dream come true. Cornelius Birgs and Chris Barclay did a great job teaching me. I just need to keep playing hard."
Offensive Tackle Tyson Clabo
On the running backs "I had no idea D'Angelo would play today, but he really kept us rolling. I don't care who's back there, as long as they are running hard."
