Willie Idlette Named ACC Rookie of the Week

Redshirt freshman receiver Willie Idlette was named the ACC Rookie of the Week for his performance in WFU's 34-16 victory over East Carolina last Saturday.

Idlette tallied 95 all-purpose yards against the Pirates, including nine carries for 49 yards (5.4 yards per rush), two catches for 11 yards, two punt returns for 14 yards and one kickoff return for 21 yards. His five-yard touchdown run on a reverse opened up WFU??s scoring and was his third touchdown in four games.

Idlette ranks as the ACC??s top freshman in all-purpose yards (105.5 ypg), punt returns (12.0), scoring (4.5 ppg) and is second in kickoff returns (20.8).

He becomes the fourth Demon Deacon this season to earn one of the ACC's weekly honors, following Warren Braxton, Cory Randolph and Ryan Plackemeier.
