Liz Strunk and the Wake Forest women's basketball team will open the Ala Moana Paradise Classic against Houston on Friday.

HONOLULU, Hawaii - The Wake Forest women's basketball team will open up the Ala Moana Paradise Classic Tournament on Friday, Dec. 17 against #15/19 University of Houston, at 10 p.m. (EST) on the campus of the University of Hawaii. On Saturday, Dec. 18, the Demon Deacons will return to the court once more against Hawaii at 9 p.m. (EST).

The Demon Deacons enter the tournament with a 7-0 record and are coming off a 70-47 victory over East Carolina. Against the Pirates, junior Liz Strunk put up a game high 22 points and eight rebounds, while junior Porsche' Jones added 12 points, five assists and five steals to the Wake victory.

Like Wake Forest, Houston enters the tournament with an undefeated record that includes a road victory over #14 Purdue. The Lady Cougars open the tournament on Thursday against the University of Hawaii, a team the Wake will take on Saturday.

Hawaii enters the tournament coming off a 56-44 victory over BYU, giving the Rainbow Wahine the title to the Waikiki Beach Marriot Invitational. Holding a 3-2 overall record, the only losses for Hawaii were at the hands of Santa Clara and Utah.
