Honolulu, Hawaii - GO DEMON DEACS!! Tonight your Deacons just beat the Nationally Ranked Houston Cougars! Our preparation for the game was hard one, we reviewed and studied them to make sure that we were prepared. Today was just dedicated and focused on beating Houston, I said before that the girls were hungry for this win and indeed we were. The atmosphere around the coaching staff as well as the players was one of excitement and hunger for this game; we could not wait to play. Houston were very competitive and we have a lot of respect for them, that is something that helped us win this game, we did not underestimate their team. At the close of this night we will prepare for Hawaii, they will certainly be a tough team because we are on their home court and they are tough competitors. We will not slack off because we beat Houston, tonights win only makes us more excited and more confident that if we play hard and play WAKE FOREST basketball we will get the results that we want. I hope that after this Houston victory more fans will start to jump on the lady deacon bandwagon and stay on. Stay turned everyone there is more Great DEMON DEACON BASKETBALL TO COME! GO DEACS!
