Winston-Salem, N.C. - Wake Forest wide receiver Jason Anderson, running back Chris Barclay and punter Ryan Plackemeier have been named to preseason All-Atlantic Coast Conference teams by various annual publications.
Plackemeier, a rising junior, was chosen as the preseason first team All-ACC punter by the Blue Ribbon College Football Yearbook and Athlon. Plackemeier was the ACC's top punter in 2003 and averaged 45.6 yards per boot.
Barclay was selected by Blue Ribbon as a first teamer. The rising junior led the ACC with 1,192 rushing yards as a true sophomore last season and made the league's second team. Athlon predicted Barclay to make the second team.
Anderson was tabbed as a second team preseason pick by Athlon. The rising senior is Wake Forest's all-time leader in yards per catch at 18.5 and ranks among the career leaders in receptions, yards and touchdowns.
Blue Ribbon picked Wake Forest to finish eighth in the 11-team league while Athlon chose the Deacons ninth.
