Q: You were one of two true freshmen to play last season, how do you think that year of experience will play out for you this coming season and the coming years?
DB: I am really looking forward to the season. In general, I think we have a great running back core and having a year up under my belt I feel much more comfortable with the coaches and with the system.
Q: At the scrimmage on Tuesday you were seen doing some kickoff returns. Is this something we should get used to seeing from you?
DB: I hope so! I am hoping that I can keep my job back there. I returned a few kickoffs in high school, but as you can see I have put on a little more weight, so I am thinking it is a big change and a lot of teams are going to look at that as being a bit different.
Q: Your nickname on the team is "The Bus", what is the history behind it?
DB: Coach Mullen gave me that name at the third scrimmage last year after I ran over a few people last year. When I got off the field, he called me "The Bus" and it has stuck ever since.
Q: Before college you were a baseball star. What made you decided to play football, rather than baseball?
DB: I have always loved football. Although baseball was my first sport, I have always had a passion for football. But at the same time, my heart is still with baseball too.
