Wake Forest Coach Mike Petersen

On the game:

"I said it before, but we're a very streaky team. It's just who we are. The biggest thing for them was us being able to defend their first shot, but not their second or third. We had trouble rebounding due to their height. Rebounding is usually a team function, but unfortunately we lost a lot of the individual battles, which led to their rebounds."

On Duke:

"They are really, really tall. They do a great job inside, setting up, playing and finding one another. Sometimes we did a good job, sometimes we did not. In the second half, we made them play over the top of us more, but we definitely knew their height would be an issue. We lost control of the tempo which is something we need to force in order to win the game."

Redshirt Sophomore Porsche' Jones

On the game:

"Obviously our record shows that we have come a long way since last year. We came up a little short tonight, but I still think it was a good effort. The comeback was nice, but I'd rather win the game. We tried to stop them on the inside, but Duke was just too tall."

Duke Coach Gail Goestenkors

On the game:

"We are very happy to come away with a win. Wake Forest gave a supreme effort and their shooting was phenomenal. They have five guards out there that can all shoot the three, but we did have a size advantage on them. Wake Forest is a tough team. They can score points. They caused some match-up problems for us tonight. We needed to get the ball into the post and they closed our shooters out really well. Porsche Jones is one of the most improved players in the conference. She is doing a fantastic job."

"This is five out of six games where we have shot at least 50%. We feel like we are really coming together. That's a sign of a team that really works well together. We've come to the point when we welcome the challenge of getting a team's best effort. In the long run that will pay off. We want to be prepared for anything comes NCAA tournament time. The players know that they all really need to come to play for us to be successful. We can play as a conference with anyone in the country."

Misty Williams

On the key to the game:

"I think taking it a play at a time makes the difference. Cutting down on turnovers is key too. I love having the post that we have as well because we work so hard."

Chante Black

On returning to Winston-Salem and game preparation:

"Returning to Winston-Salem and playing in front of family and friends is always wonderful. Playing at Duke has been a wonderful experience as well. Practice prepares us for the games. You have to bring you're A game to practice to prepare for the game.
