Greensboro, NC - Wake Forest senior running back Chris Barclay earned Atlantic Coast Conference co-Offensive Back of the Week, the league announced on Monday. Barclay shared the award with Miami running back Tyrone Moss.

Barclay rushed 18 times for 204 yards and two touchdowns in a 44-6 win at Duke. Barclay had touchdown runs of 9 and 71 yards. In the process, Barclay became Wake Forest's all-time leading rusher and scorer. It was Barclay's third career 200-yard game, tied for the second-most in ACC history. Barclay also moved into 8th place in the ACC record book for career rushing yards. On Saturday, he passed Raymond Priester (Clemson) and James McDougald (Wake Forest).

Moss rushed for a career-high 195 yards on 24 carries and scored a career-high four touchdowns in Miami's 34-16 win over North Carolina. The Pompano Beach, Fla., junior averaged 8.1 yards per carry and his yardage total was the seventh-highest in Miami history. Moss became just the fifth Hurricane to score four touchdowns in one game.

Miami offensive tackle Eric Winston was tabbed the ACC's Offensive Lineman of the Week, Georgia Tech's Eric Henderson was named the Defensive Lineman of the Week, Florida State outside linebacker Ernie Sims was the ACC's Defensive Back of the Week, Florida State wide receiver/punt returner Willie Reid was the Special Teams Players of the Week and NC State running back Andre Brown earned ACC Rookie of the Week honors.

Barclay joins Jon Abbate, Micah Andrews, Ryan Plackemeier, Cory Randolph and Alphonso Smith as Wake Forest players who won weekly ACC honors previously this year.

More on Chris Barclay:

  • Barclay is on his way to becoming the first player to lead the ACC in rushing during the regular season in three straight seasons. He did it as a sophomore and a junior. This season, Barclay has 323 more rushing yards than anyone else in the ACC.
  • Barclay has five 100-yard games this season (Clemson, Florida State, NC State, Duke and East Carolina). He has two 200-yard games in 2005 (Duke and East Carolina). He averages 124.8 yards per game and 121.3 vs. ACC opponents.
