Golf Signee Wins Key Prep Tournament

Travis Wadkins, who has signed a letter of intent to play golf at Wake Forest beginning in 2006-07, finished first recently in a large Texas high school tournament.
Wadkins, the son of former Deacon great Lanny Wadkins, overcame cold and windy conditions to win the Hebron Invitational at the Tribute Golf Club. Wadkins fired a 2-under par 70 to win by one stroke.
Wadkins plays for Trinity Christian Academy. He will play in the Texas Junior Cup in Austin (TX) in January.
