
Wake Forest Women's Basketball Faces Richmond

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - The Wake Forest women's basketball team returns to the hardwood after a short break for the Christmas holidays for a road game against Richmond Wednesday, Dec. 28 at 7 p.m.
The Demon Deacons enter the game on a season-long three game winning streak that includes a narrow 69-67 victory over Rice. In the win against the Owls, senior Liz Strunk scored 22 points, marking the fourth time this season and 15th time in her career that the Chattanooga, Tenn. native has earned 20 or more points.
Senior Cotelia Bond-Young and freshman Deirdre Naughton also scored in double figures against Rice, increasing their double figure scoring streaks to nine games.
Richmond enters the game with a 4-6 overall record, including a 78-70 victory over Howard prior to the holiday break. Against the Bison, the Spiders came back from a 15-point deficit in the second half and three players scored in double figures, including junior forward Kelly Roche, who earned the team-high 19 points.
