Recap | Final Stats | Notes
Wake Forest Head Coach Skip Prosser
"Very disappointing, we had our chances, give Georgia credit. Our inability to guard led to our demise. I think we fought today. Both teams played hard. I think we rushed a lot. It was our best day at the free throw line. I like our pace; however, when you get against a more experienced team, that can backfire. A big reason why they shot well is our 20 turnovers. Right now we are worried about final exams and then we regroup and have a tough game against DePaul."

On the last play of the game...
"We didn't have any timeouts left. Coach told me to give it to [Kyle Visser] if their guy was behind him. I thought he was open so I did what I thought was best."
On Wake Forest's defensive play...
"We're young but we aren't blaming our defensive struggles on that. We're just learning how hard we have to play on defense. We have to get up to where we can stop guys and defend instead of just trading baskets. That's when we'll be a great team."
On facing some adversity after early success...
"We just need to bind closer together. We need to find that inner peace. We just need to find each other and pull each other together."
On the long layover between games...
"It goes both ways: either we can dwell on it or we can look forward to the next game. We play DePaul who just beat Kansas. It's a big game for us at DePaul, and we'll get a chance to show people that these past two games are not how we really play ball."
Georgia Head Coach Dennis Felton
"I thought it was a tremendous game. It was exciting and fast. I wish we could have slowed them down. I thought Visser and Smith were a handful. Wake is very good at what they do. On that last play, we just wanted to keep them from catching it cleanly. It was a war but we expected that. I was proud of our guys for getting control of the game in the second half. At half time I told our guys that we were playing soft. Wake was a lot more aggressive. In the second half we were more of the aggressor."
