Women's Soccer Adds Two For 2006 Season

Winston-Salem, N.C. - Wake Forest women's soccer head coach Tony da Luz announced the additions of Bess Harrington and Laura Morse to the women's soccer class of 2010. Harrington and Morse join Kaley Fountain, Alli Sadow, Sarah Winslow and Jill Hutchinson as newcomers to the Demon Deacons.
Bess Harrington
Center Midfielder 5-9 Durham, NC Riverside HS
Four-year letterwinner at Riverside High School...member of three-time PAC-6 Champions...also named three-time PAC-6 All-Conference Team...played on '87 Triangle Futbol Club Navy (2000-03), '86 CASL Spartan Elite (2004-05) and '87 Spartan Elite (2005-present)...'87 Elite team won 2005 Southern Region Championships and placed third at nationals...also Region III Premier League Champions in 2005-06...2002 alternate for North Carolina Olympic Development Team and 2004 member under Deacon coach Tony da Luz...chose Wake Forest over Duke, Davidson, UNC Wilmington and UNC Charlotte...member of the National Honor Society...father David played basketball at Hampden-Sydney and grandfather Paul Stephanz played football at Duke.

Earned 12 letters in high school, four in volleyball, four in basketball and four in soccer...team captain in all three sports...named All-Conference three years in soccer, three years in volleyball and four years in basketball...Southwestern Foothills Conference Player of the Year in soccer...three-time conference champions...holds the record for most shutouts...competed with the Charlotte Soccer Club for seven years and Rutherford Panthers for one on the club level...five-time state cup champions...two-time state cup finalist...chose Wake Forest over North Carolina, Virginia, Davidson and NC State...a Wendy's High School Heisman nominee...Morehead Scholar nominee...National Honor Society Vice President...ranked first in class.
