Grobe Becomes 2nd-Winningest Coach in Wake Forest History...
Head coach Jim Grobe notched his 30th victory at Wake Forest to become the second-winningest coach in program history. Grobe passed Bill Dooley, but stands 41 wins behind D.C. "Peahead" Walker. Walker went 77-51-6 from 1937-50.

Starting Notes...
OT Jeff Griffin and RB De'Angelo Bryant made their first career starts at right tackle and tailback, respectively... OT Steve Vallos started his 38th career game, SS Patrick Ghee started his 26th career game and FS Josh Gattis started his 24th career game... OT Arby Jones (knee) did not play and saw his string of 22 straight starts come to an end.

Second Half Dominance Continues...
The Deacons pitched a shutout in the second half for the second straight week. Wake Forest has now outscored its opponents 51-3 in the second half this season. It was the third time this season the Deacons have blanked an opponent for an entire half.

Sack Attack: Part II...
The Wake Forest defense recorded five sacks for the second straight week. That upped their season total to 14 sacks as a team. Last year, the Deacons had 15 sacks all season.

Grobo On The Ground...
Wake Forest had 58 offensive plays from scrimmage. 53 of those were rushed for 283 yards, an average of nearly five yards per tote.

Birdsong, Woods See First Action...
RS-Freshman OT Joe Birdsong did not start, but entered on the second series. It was his first action on offense this season. RS-Junior RB Travo Woods did not start, but entered on the third series. It was his first career action on offense.

De'Angelo Bryant Goes Over 100 Yards For First Time...
RB De'Angelo Bryant scored on a six-yard touchdown run on Wake Forest's first drive. It was his second touchdown The Deacons scored on their first drive for the second time this season in four games (Syracuse). He finished with 105 yards on 22 carries and one score.

Kevin Harris Scores First Career Touchdown...
RB Kevin Harris' third quarter touchdown marked the first of his career.

Rinfrette Scores Touchdown On First Career Carry...
Mike Rinfrette's 1-yard touchdown plunge near the end of the third quarter was his first career carry.

Red Zone Defense...
Wake Forest continued the trend of being a solid defensive team inside the red zone. After Ole Miss had first and goal from the two yard line, the Deacons forced a field goal attempt that was wide left. Entering the game, The Deacons allowed opponents to score on just 4-of-10 red zone attempts entering the game.

Deacons Finally Allow Some Points...
Ole Miss' field goal with three seconds left in the half ending a long shutout streak for the Deacs. Wake Forest had not allowed any points since the 3:23 mark in the second quarter at UConn -- a span of 63 minutes and 20 seconds.
