GREENSBORO, N.C. - Wake Forest center Steve Justice was selected as the Atlantic Coast Conference Offensive Lineman of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Justice played a major role as the Deacons piled up 240 rushing yards in Saturday's 27-3 win at Ole Miss. The Port Orange, Fla., junior played 56 snaps and graded out at 96 percent, recording five knockdown blocks with zero missed assignments. Justice anchored three long, time-consuming drives of 13, 12 and 11 plays. Five different Deacons had individual rushes of 10 or more yards.
Justice is the third Deacon to earn conference honors this season and the second offensive lineman. Offensive tackle Steve Vallos was the ACC offensive lineman of the week following Wake Forest's season-opening win against Syracuse. Quarterback Riley Skinner was the ACC Rookie of the Week after the win against Duke.
Wake Forest is 4-0 for just the fourth time in school history and the first time since 1987. The Deacons are the only team in the country to have defeated four BCS conference opponents.
Wake Forest hosts Liberty at Groves Stadium on Homecoming this Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
