No. 21 Deacons Host No. 25 Duke Thursday Night

WINSTON-SALEM, NC - The No. 21 Wake Forest women's soccer team will continue Atlantic Coast Conference action this Thursday as they host 25th-ranked Duke at 7 p.m.
The Demon Deacons and the Blue Devils are currently knotted in the ACC standings with seven points and conference records of 2-2-1. Duke's regular season record of 7-3-3 gives the team a slight edge over the Deacs' 7-5-2 mark, placing the Blue Devils in fifth and the Deacons in sixth in the ACC.
The Blue Devils have posted conference wins over Virginia Tech and N.C. State, registered losses with Virginia and North Carolina and tied with Boston College. The Deacons have defeated Maryland and Virginia Tech, lost to Boston College and North Carolina and tied with Virginia.
Most recently, both teams suffered losses to North Carolina, the Blue Devils falling 2-1 last Thursday and the Deacons falling 1-0 on Sunday.
Last season, the Demon Deacons defeated Duke for the first time since 1998. Then-freshman Caitlin Farrell scored the game-winner, taking a pass from classmate Kaley Fountain.
Following Thursday's contest, fans will have an opportunity to meet the Deacs in an autograph session.
